Ken Termini

Ken Termini, celebrated for his distinguished tenure in the pharmaceutical sector and lauded as a successful high school basketball coach, has now channeled his expertise into mentoring college students for entry-level job interviews.

After earning his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Penn State University in 1987, Ken embarked on his professional journey with Revlon. His career took a significant turn two years later when he joined Forest Pharmaceuticals. Over the next 27 years, he ascended through various sales and management positions, honing his skills and navigating the intricate healthcare industry. His outstanding performance earned him all three of the company’s significant sales awards: Rookie of the Year, Representative of the Year, and Sales Manager of the Year.

In 2002, Ken’s leadership abilities were recognized with a promotion to the corporate office of Forest Pharmaceuticals, where he led the State Government Affairs Department. His career trajectory continued upward as he took charge of Forest Laboratories’ Federal Public Policy & Government Affairs department, playing a pivotal role during the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Ken concluded his pharmaceutical career at Forest Laboratories (now Allergan), specializing as an Anti-Infective Hospital Specialist, focusing on infectious diseases and hospital-based IV antibiotics.

Ken's goal was to retire by the age of 50, a milestone he achieved through meticulous planning and strategic financial management. Inspired by advice at age 19 to segment his life into thirds—learning, earning, and enjoying—he meticulously executed this plan with the support of trusted advisors, integrating financial, estate, and tax planning to align with his long-term objectives.

Ken also invested over two decades in the real estate sector, focusing on developing vacation rental properties. His projects included significant developments such as large oceanfront homes and a 36-unit oceanfront condominium in the Outer Banks. Despite divesting most of his real estate investments, he remains an active member of the Outer Banks NRPO group, offering his deep understanding of property management.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Ken’s passion for basketball led him to a rewarding coaching career. Beginning in 1990, he coached at Palisades High School before moving to Palmerton High School, both within the Colonial League. As the head coach of Palmerton’s Blue Bombers for eight seasons, Ken fostered a team that consistently exceeded expectations, culminating in a District 11 Class 3A title in 2019. His dedication to the sport also led to the founding of the Colonial League Boys Basketball Coaches Association, aiming to recognize the achievements of the league's top players.

Ken’s interest in athletics extends to open-water swimming, where he competes in numerous events, including the demanding New York City SEAL Swim. This challenging 3.5-mile swim starts at Liberty State Park and passes iconic landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Ken’s enthusiasm for open-water swimming also sees him participating in swims along the New Jersey Shore and beyond, embracing the physical challenges of the sport.Currently, he is pioneering Career Launch Consulting (CLC), a professional development firm designed to enhance the interviewing skills of college students. Identifying a gap in how student leaders translate their experiences into job interviews, he offers specialized mentoring and workshops. His vision for CLC includes expanding its services to provide comprehensive content for organizational leadership programs and working in collaboration with Lambda Chi Alpha to equip young leaders for professional success.
